Janice Gibson-Executive Director- [email protected] — Currently a PGA Class “A” /LPGA Teaching Division Member. Played collegiate golf at Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Played 12 years on the LPGA Tour
Austin Quinten-Program Manager- [email protected] — Austin first met Janice Gibson in 1996, when she became his swing coach. When First Tee — Tulsa was first established in 2001, Austin joined the program where he eventually was chosen to play in the Wal-Mart First Tee Open. Austin graduated from Charles Page High School in 2007, and earned a golf scholarship to play for Columbia University in New York City. Austin then played for the University of Texas at Tyler. Austin has a B.A. in Political Science and History, and a Masters degree in History. Austin joined the First Tee — Tulsa staff in March 2015. He has become known as "Coach Awesome Austin." He and his wife, Marie, recently added a new member to their family, their son, Callan Thomas Quinten.
Julia Dierker-Assistant Director —[email protected] — Julia Dierker joined the First Tee — Tulsa staff as Assistant Program Director in the Summer of 2021, bringing with her over 12 years of competititve play experience. A 2014 graduate of Bixby High School, Julia went on to captain back-to-back women's golf teams at Coffeyville Community College and represented the Ravens in the 2015 and 2016 NJCAA National Championships. Julia closed out her collegiate golf career at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2018. Julia returns to the golf industry after two years in oil and gas and a year of play on the Women's All Pro Tour.
Terran Johnson - Assistant Manager - [email protected] -Terran attended Booker T. Washington High School, participated in the International Baccalaureate Program, and graduated in 2014. Immediately following this, she enrolled in Oklahoma State University for 2 years but transferred in 2016 to Oral Roberts University studying Drama Television and Film. In 2019, she graduated from Oral Roberts University with a degree in Drama, Television and Film accompanied with Cum Laude honors.
During her time at ORU, her focus was acting on stage and camera. Playing roles in plays such as Our Town and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead. She wrote a short film screenplay called “PURSUIT” which was produced and shown in a local Tulsa theatre in 2021.
Terran's parents enrolled her in The First Tee of Tulsa for the first time in 2008. Carver Middle School provided after school transportation to a group of seventh and eighth graders, including Terran. From that time on her interest in golf and The First Tee increased gradually as she became more involved in the program. She began mentoring participants whilst participating to begin preparation for further employment. In 2014, Terran was a recipient of the Jo Bob Hille Memorial Scholarship and joined the coaching staff for the next 4 years.
